Shipping & Addresses
TeamCo lets you store multiple shipping locations per company. Default addresses can be set at the company or group level, and you control whether employees can enter a custom address at checkout.
Adding a Shipping Location
Locations are stored per company. To add a new location:
- 1Open the company in the admin panel.
- 2Navigate to the Locations tab.
- 3Click "Add Location".
- 4Fill in: Name, Street address, City, ZIP code, Country.
- 5Optionally link to a Shopify inventory location.
- 6Save the location.
- 7To make it the default, click the star icon next to the location.
Portal access
Employees with the ADMIN role can also manage locations directly from the portal under the Locations section, without needing access to the Shopify admin panel.
Default Address Priority
When an employee reaches the cart, TeamCo determines their default shipping address using the following priority order:
Employee custom address
If the employee has entered their own address and the group permits custom addresses, this takes precedence.
Group default address
If the employee's group has a default location set, that address is pre-filled at checkout.
Company default address
If neither of the above apply, the company's default location is used.
Controlling Custom Addresses
The Allow custom shipping address toggle determines whether employees can change or enter their own address during checkout. It can be configured at two levels:
| Level | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Company | Sets the default policy for all employees. Groups can override this. |
| Group | Overrides the company policy for employees in the group. Set to Inherit to follow the company setting. |
Cart address selection
When an employee has multiple addresses available, the cart shows an address selector. If only one address is configured, it is pre-filled automatically with no selection step required.
